India defeated Pakistan by five wickets in a dramatic Asia Cup match on Sunday thanks to all-around greatness from Hardik Pandya. Pandya restricted Pakistan to 147 in 19.5 overs, finishing with figures of 3/25 in 4 overs. He then hit 33 off 17 balls, including the game-winning six in the final over delivered by left-arm spinner Mohammed Nawaz.
Ravindra Jadeja made a contribution with 35 from 29 balls. Bhuvneshwar Kumar, an experienced seamer for India, had the best figures when he bowled, recording 4 for 26. Virat Kohli, the former captain of India, scored 35 off 34 balls during the chase. With a bowling average of 2/7, Naseem Shah was Pakistan’s top bowler.
