Once a lion was sleeping in a forest. A mouse came and stared jumping on his head. Suddenly the lion woke up, grabbed the mouse and was going to kill the mouse
“Spare me!” begged the poor Mouse. “Please let me go and someday I will surely repay you.”
The lion laughed at it and let him off.
A few days later the lion was caught in a hunter’s snare. Struggle as he might, he couldn’t break free and became even more entangled in the net of ropes. He let out a roar of anger that shook the forest. Every animal heard it, including the tiny mouse.
He ran as fast as he could in the direction of the lion’s roar and quickly found the Lion struggling in the net. Without further delay, the mouse began nibbling through the ropes with his sharp little teeth. Very soon the lion was free. The lion escaped and thanked the mouse.
Moral: A kindness is never wasted.
