Egyptian-Pakistani discussions in the political and military fields

Lt. Gen. Muhammad Zaki, Minister of Defense, returned to the Egyptian capital from the Pakistani capital, Islamabad, after 5 days  an official visit during which he held a number of important meetings with a number of Pakistani military and political leaders. concluded with a meeting with Mr. Aref Alwi, President of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. The meeting touched on the established Egyptian-Pakistani relations and the extent of consensus on many issues. With the state of Pakistan, the Egyptian and Pakistani political leadership visions towards supporting stability efforts in the Middle East region are consistent.

For his part, Mr. Aref Alawi praised Egypt’s efforts and its role supporting security and stability at the regional and international levels, pointing to the strength and strength of the strategic relations between Egypt and Pakistan, adding that he looks forward to continuing the close partnership between the two friendly countries.
The Commander in Chief also met with Mr. Omar Khan, Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. The meeting discussed the exchange of visions towards the region’s changes and its repercussions on the regional and international arenas.
Muhammad Zaki, held a session of bilateral discussions with Lieutenant General Nadim Raza, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of Pakistan, where the discussions dealt with military cooperation and exchange of experiences between the armed forces of both countries.
Then the Commander-in-Chief of the team, First Qamar Javed Bajwa, met with the Chief of Staff of the Pakistani Army. The meeting discussed ways to support cooperation between the Egyptian and Pakistani armed forces in many areas.
In his meeting with Mrs. Zubaida Jalal, Minister of Defense Production of Pakistan, they discussed the partnership between the Egyptian and Pakistani armed forces in the fields of industrialization and military production and the exchange of experiences between the two countries.

Zaki was arrived to Islamabad at 24 feb, back to Cairo yesterday, and He told uknewsline that the discussions were very fruitful and touched the depth of the ties that link the leaderships of the two countries and match their views.
