Humans always have an internal urge and a pressing desire to reveal what will happen in the near or far future. They think and after making unbelievable calculations, they tell the world about the predictions about the world. These predictions were very much popular in the recent centuries. But now, in the 22th century, which is most likely called the “age of science”, people do not believe all these predictions.

In fact, the most notorious and wide spread dangerous COVID-19 was predicted a few years ago by many people in their writings. It is amazing and astonishing to think about it in this global village. But, let’s think about it.

In September 2008, Sylvia Browne, who also claimed to be a medium with psychic abilities, argued in her book, End of Days, about the virus, saying that,

“In around 2020, a severe pneumonia-like illness will spread throughout the globe, attacking the lungs and bronchial tubes and resisting all known treatments.”

After having predictions coronavirus, let’s have a look into its facts, symptoms and preventions of the COVID-19.

Corona Virus which is now given the name COVID-19, more likely, is a new pain that was revealed in the 2019. But, at that time, it was not thought to be fatal but a mere fever and pain because of its common symptoms such as respiratory symptoms, cough, and shortness of breath and breathing difficulties. But, after the 25 January, New Year of China, its first patient was revealed in Hubei Province of China. The patient was affected by virus on 17 November, 2019. In more severe cases, infection can cause pneumonia, severe acute respiratory syndrome, kidney failure and even death.

After the first case, its next case was detected at the end of December, 2019 in Wuhan, China. Doctors thought it to be caused by sea food sold on the market. But this hypothesis was opposed when it was reported that a patient had no connection with the sea food market. After it, doctors thought it to be spread by bats. However, this idea was also refuted when victims of coronavirus increased rapidly.

On December 27, 2019, Dr Zhang Ji Xian named it COVID-19.

Till March 13, 2020, there were more than 81,000 patients of Corona, only in the Mainland of China. After attacking China, this virus started to spread all over the world and in a no time, it affected more than 148,000 people in the world.

The doctors all over the world were under great stress about the cure of this virus. However, still no medication has been found yet. Some patients recovered on their own. We can say it to be a miracle. Different patients say different things about their recovery.

American Greg Yerex, who was diagnosed along with his wife, Rose Yerex, on the Diamond Princess, said he had no symptoms and felt as healthy as he did on any other normal day.

“If I was home, I would be out doing everything I normally do,” he said when the couple was still hospitalized in Nagoya, Japan.

Rose Yerex tested negative when she got to the hospital.

For Greg Yerex, it was the couple’s mental health that faced the biggest threat as they spent days in quarantine, isolated from friends and family and deprived of any direct human contact.

“It’s like being a prisoner,” he said. “You pace, you worry, you fret, you imagine all sorts of things. You have no control.”

Greg Yerex said that he and his wife, who have since been released from the hospital, plan to go to counseling to work through the mental stress they experienced.

In China, Tan Shiyun, a postgraduate student at a university in Wuhan, had travelled to her family home in Yichang over 180 miles away when she began to experience minor symptoms from the virus.

She went to the hospital, where she was given common cold medicine and sent home. It was only after her symptoms persisted and she visited the hospital a second time for an outpatient CT scan and received a call asking her to come back did she understand her symptoms came from something other than the common flu.

After many days and a number of tests, doctors eventually told her that the infection had spread to both of her lungs.

“After that, I felt a heavy head while walking, unable to breathe, and nauseous,” Tan said in a video blog post.

But after over two weeks in the hospital, a CT scan showed her infection was disappearing and she was discharged.

The National Institutes of Health’s Dr. Anthony Fauci, based in the US, and told Congress on Thursday that it was unlikely that someone could get reinfected.

“We haven’t formally proved it, but it is strongly likely that that’s the case,” he said.

“Because if this act like any other virus, once you recover, you won’t get reinfected.”

So, till the medicines are not discovered there are some common precautions to protect you from COVID-19.

  • Wash your hands frequently
  • Stay away from crowds of people
  • Avoid touching mouth, eyes and nose
  • Practice respiratory hygiene
  • If you have cough, fever and breathing difficulties, seek medical assistance
  • Avoid flights to other countries

By taking these measures, there are chances that you can be safe from Corona Virus Disease. If you are diagnosed with this Virus, stay at home to keep others safe from this deadly virus. It is more considered that a will-power to get better can help you recover fast. Save you and others.
